Excellon has installed a model 136L Intelli-Drill System at Advanced Circuits Inc.'s facility in Tempe, Arizona
The Excellon 136L Intelli-Drill System offers high speed axis positioning and a large work area of 30 by 36 inches for those companies running larger panel prototypes and production PCB’s. The Intelli-Drill vision system offers capabilities such as post lamination tooling optimization as well as drilling and routing relative to surface targets and features to provide high accuracy and precision hole placement.
Alex Chandy, Director of Operations at Advanced Circuits, Tempe Division said: "Adding the 136L Intelli-Drill is definitely considered as another feather in our hat. This machine not only speeds up our small hole drilling capability, its vision system is another check and balance for our registration system. It has enhanced our capability for precise back drilling and the tighter tolerances encountered daily. At Advanced Circuits we are very excited and looking forward to the positive results this machine will bring to us."
Advanced Circuits is now ranked among the top three board fabricators in North America and is well known for its reliability and customer excellence and has become a leader in not only the commercial PCB arena but also in the high-reliability, military/aerospace/defense, and high technology marketplace.
Mike Sparidaens, Vice President of Sales at Excellon, shared his comments: "The 136L Intelli-Drill System is just one of three new products introduced by Excellon in the last 18 months."
