Excellon announces the installation of a COBRA Hybrid Laser Via System at Advanced Circuits, Inc. of Tempe, Arizona
The Excellon COBRA Hybrid Laser System offers both UV and IR laser sources on one platform and a large work area of 31 by 25 inches for those companies running larger panel prototypes and production PCB’s. The system uses CCD vision for precise alignment to the inner-layers.
Alex Chandy, Director of Operations at Advanced Circuits, Tempe Division said: "The COBRA laser will allow our operation to further technology and growth in complex PCB's requiring micro vias and machining. Having both the UV and IR lasers on one platform will allow for the highest precision of these small vias and machining on every job in production."
Advanced Circuits, Inc., is now ranked among the top three board fabricators in North America and is well known for its reliability and customer excellence and has become a leader in not only the commercial PCB arena but also in the high-reliability, military/aerospace/defense, and high technology marketplace.
Mike Sparidaens, Vice President of Sales, shared his comments: "The COBRA Hybrid Laser System is well known for its reliability and low cost of operation. We are excited about the latest hole formation technology that has been incorporated into the Cobra leading to improved hole quality and throughput. Excellon will be exhibiting at this year’s IPC APEX Expo, and we’d be pleased to discuss these enhancements with visitors to our booth."
